What you will do in this role

• Prepare patient care areas with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate effective airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to established protocols (vital signs, temperature, cardiac status, etc.).
• Exhibit skill in the insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
• Conduct thorough head-to-toe evaluations of patients following HCA policies.
• Inspect dressings and operative sites, reporting any abnormalities.
• Create a safe, comforting environment for patients and their families.
• Ensure patients meet criteria for discharge safely and efficiently.

Qualifications you will need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state regulations.
• BCLS certification required upon employment; online certification not accepted.
• ACLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of hire if applicable.
