Food & Beverage Restaurant Manager

Restaurant Manager responsibilities include
- Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and barbacks
- Ensure consistent quality of drinks, service, and presentation
- Monitor inventory, place orders, and control liquor and supply costs
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
- Enforce responsible alcohol service and company policies
- Collaborate with management on menus, specials, and promotions
- Track sales performance and assist with cost control initiatives
- Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity and how to uphold and maintain our quality standards
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices and policies of our company
- Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager
Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable, and Hotschedules not required but a plus
Excellent leadership skills, motivational and people skills
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant with similar style of dining, capacity, and volume
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance and demeanor in high-volume situations
- Possess exceptional communication skills and an ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
- Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel
Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
- Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with restaurant software
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Microsoft Office Suite
