Event Operations Supervisor

to lead our statewide team of Shine Slingers and bring the Caribbean Moonshine experience to life at festivals, vendor shows, music events, food festivals, art shows, and special events throughout Florida. This is not a traditional desk job. It is a fast-moving leadership position for someone who can coach a team, manage the numbers, solve problems in real time, and keep multiple events running successfully at once. You will oversee approximately 12–20 Shine Slingers and may coordinate as many as 15 events simultaneously across the state. You will be responsible for the people, performance, profitability, and execution of our event program. What You’ll Do

• Lead, train, schedule, motivate, and develop a statewide team of approximately 15–25 Shine Slingers.
• Build a dependable events team by supporting employee engagement, accountability, performance, and retention.
• Coordinate and oversee up to 15 events at one time across Florida, ensuring each team has the staffing, products, equipment, information, and support needed to succeed.
• Take ownership of event execution from initial planning and setup through live operations, breakdown, reconciliation, and follow-up.
• Manage event profitability by preparing and reviewing event profit-and-loss results, sales performance, labor costs, expenses, product usage, and performance against budget.
• Maintain accurate financial controls, including cash audits, Daily Sales Reports, sales reconciliation, inventory review, and timely submission of event documentation.
• Use Square POS to manage event locations, inventory, pricing, transactions, and financial reporting.
• Monitor sales performance and coach team members on guest engagement, product knowledge, upselling, and responsible alcohol service.
• Protect and promote the Caribbean Moonshine brand by ensuring every event reflects our standards for energy, professionalism, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
• Build strong, professional relationships with event organizers, venue representatives, vendors, community partners, and internal team members.
• Communicate schedules, expectations, changes, challenges, and results clearly and promptly across the organization.
• Address staffing, inventory, equipment, weather, transportation, and operational issues quickly and professionally.
• Support event setup and breakdown, including loading, transporting, and handling event materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Assist at the distillery and with other business operations when not scheduled for events.

What the Role Requires

• Proven experience in event operations, hospitality management, retail leadership, food-and-beverage supervision, or a similar hands-on leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, manage, coach, and retain hourly or event-based employees.
• Strong financial understanding, including event P&Ls, budgets, labor percentages, expense controls, cash handling, inventory management, and sales reporting.
• Experience with Square POS, including inventory, pricing, location management, and reporting, strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other cloud-based business tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and support multiple events, teams, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A confident, positive leadership style and the ability to enforce company standards consistently and respectfully.
• A sales-focused mindset and the ability to coach others to engage guests, tell the brand story, and drive results.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and remain composed when event conditions change.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout Florida as required.
• Flexible availability, including Thursdays through Sundays, early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.
• Ability and willingness to work long hours outdoors in heat, rain, humidity, and changing weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods and lift or transport materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Must meet all legal requirements associated with the handling, service, and promotion of alcoholic beverages.

• $19.00 per hour base pay
• Tips
• Travel-time pay, when applicable under company policy and law
• Performance-based event bonuses of $100–$175 per qualifying event
• 90-day performance and compensation review, with eligibility for a base-pay increase based on successful completion of the introductory period, demonstrated performance, and business needs
