Construction Company | Fully Onsite | $85,000–$90,000

A growing construction company is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead our accounts payable operations and support key financial processes. This fully onsite role oversees a high-volume AP department, ensures accuracy and compliance, and partners closely with leadership, including providing critical reporting to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AP department
• Oversee all high-level AP functions, including invoice processing workflows, vendor management, and PO processes
• Review and approve vendor setups, expense reports, and final payment batches
• Manage weekly and monthly critical funding reports prepared by the AP Coordinator and delivered directly to the CFO
• Oversee AP aging cleanup and the Titanium invoice workflow
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly AP reconciliations
• Lead year-end tasks, including 1099 preparation, resolving IRS form errors, and unclaimed property management
• Pull, review, and analyze accrual reports
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline AP processes and enhance efficiency
• Support the accounting department with ad hoc projects and duties as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or lead-level responsibilities
• Experience with the PO process (can be trained if needed)
• Strong understanding of AP best practices, expense auditing, and reconciliation
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and high-volume AP operations
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
