This is a multi shift vacancy
- 2nd shift 2pm to 10:30 pm with a weekend workday.
- 3rd shift 10pm to 6:30am with a weekend workday.

Job Description
General Functions
This key position participates in the general maintenance and janitorial upkeep of the Orange County Convention Center or county buildings and premises.
Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher-level or lead employee and is reviewed through observations, reports, and results achieved.
Representative Duties/Assignments
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties; it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Performs general custodial and housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, polishing floors, vacuuming, carpet extraction, and window cleaning.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies.
- Polishes metal hardware such as steel, chrome, brass and dusts/polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Operates electrical and manual cleaning equipment including carpet extractors and walk-behind scrubbers.
- Applies appropriate cleaning methods and materials for maintaining building interiors.
- Lifts moderate to heavy items in weight including cleaning products, paper goods, and cleaning equipment.
- Maintains and inspects buildings and equipment; reports any damage to proper personnel.
- Follows written and/or verbal instructions from higher level employees.
- May perform exterior cleaning such as sweeping walkways and parking areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Convention Center
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
Community and Family Services
- Assigns and directs the work of on-call janitorial workers. Trains staff in the proper use of cleaning agents and materials.
- Raises and lowers the flag in accordance with established protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License, if required for the position.
Preferences
Convention Center
One (1) of experience working in custodial, janitorial, or sanitation services in a hotel, convention center, or arena environment.
Community and Family Services
One (1) of experience working in custodial or janitorial services in a government or commercial facility.
Basic computer skills to retrieve and respond to emails.

Pay Grade: 009 - From $17.01 to $21.56
