Job Description

General Functions

Develops financial models and reports for financial analysis. Work is performed under the general direction of the assistant manager. Duties are performed with independence requiring the exercise of discretion, sound judgment and initiative. Work is reviewed through conversation, observation, analysis of reports and recommendations and results achieved.

Representative Duties/Assignments

  • Develops data requirements and report formats for financial analysis and submission for administrative and executive approval.
  • Prepares and gathers information for the development of assigned reports.
  • Performs analysis of all reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists in bond issuance process and management of long-term and short-term debt programs.
  • Coordinates with departments and divisions to ensure effective, efficient and legal use of all resources.
  • Reviews current financial records and accounts; performs cost/benefit analysis.
  • Provides technical and administrative assistance, advice and support regarding management systems and financial matters.
  • Studies and analyzes existing programs and organizational structures, methods, and procedural development to determine the most effective and economical methods to be used for the performance of essential functions.
  • Performs other special projects and related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field and two years of direct experience in financial, budget or operational analysis; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience on a year for year basis.

Must have strong written, oral communication and analytical skills. Must possess extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Preferences

Excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.

Pay Grade: 017 - From $29.06 to $37.76
