Technology Project Manager – OBX Technologies Inc. (Orlando, FL)

Full-Time | On-Site & Field | Salary Range (based on experience)

About the Role

OBX Technologies Inc. is seeking a Technology Project Manager with strong field experience in low-voltage installations. This role manages access control, alarm systems, camera systems, structured cabling, and related projects from planning through final turnover.

You must have at least 5 years of direct industry experience in security, low-voltage, access control, alarm, and camera installations.

ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination

  • Build and manage project timelines, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Review SOWs, drawings, permits, and inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Oversee daily task assignments and confirm completion with logs and photos.

Execution & Oversight

  • Lead installations involving access control, alarms, cameras, cabling, and networking.
  • Conduct site visits to verify quality and progress.
  • Troubleshoot technical or logistical issues.
  • Document scope changes and manage field adjustments.

Client Communication

  • Serve as the main contact for clients throughout the project.
  • Provide regular progress updates using JobTread.
  • Manage expectations through project completion.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain complete project documentation.
  • Ensure permits and inspections are passed.
  • Produce as-builts, device lists, and turnover packages.

Financial & Administrative

  • Track budgets, labor, and materials.
  • Prepare and submit change orders.
  • Support billing for progress and final invoicing.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in low-voltage/security installations

(access control, alarms, CCTV, structured cabling).

  • Proven project management experience in this field only.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and layouts.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • JobTread or similar PM platform experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on field experience with modern platforms such as:
  • Access Control: Verkada, Alarm.com, HID, Assa Abloy, Brivo, Kisi
  • CCTV: Verkada, Turing, Alarm.com, Avigilon, Hanwha
  • Intrusion: DSC, Qolsys, Honeywell, Alarm.com
  • Manufacturer certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Networking certifications (Network+, Security+).
  • Experience with Florida permitting/inspection workflows.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time position
  • Monday–Friday (occasional weekend or evening assignments as needed)
  • Combination of office, field, and client-site work
  • Travel across Central Florida for project visits
  • Must be able to:
  • Lift up to 40 lbs
  • Climb ladders
  • Walk job sites
  • Work in indoor/outdoor commercial environments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $62,000.00 - $86,162.40 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
