Marketing Manager – Communications

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

External Communications: Coordinate Public Relation efforts with Agency, Senior Team Members and Technical and Training.

Internal Communications: Develop and distribute communication material for team members (Massey Messenger, Award Announcements, etc).

Events: Work closely with marketing and external partners to plan/execute event activities.

Image: Ensure all communications adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy and are consistent with Massey’s culture, philosophy and mission.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

External Communication – Public Relations

· Coordinate Public Relation efforts with Agency, Senior Team Members and Technical and Training; draft all press releases as well as review pitches, and external communication and coordinate for approval

· Work closely with Agency to ensure award nominations in every market have been identified; manage award nominations process and coordinate for approval

· Identify award opportunities for company as well as individual team members and draft nominations; manage overall approval process and submit approved nomination forms

· Develop and distribute monthly Public Relations reports

· Oversee all Communication awards and local market Reader’s Choice Polls

· Develop articles and contributed content for industry/magazine publications

Internal Communication

· Develop and distribute communication material for team members (including Massey Messenger, Award Announcements, and Massey Services etc)

· Ensure all Corporate biographies are up-to-date and posted on our website; coordinate professional headshots and other photoshoots when required

· Set an excellent Management example and professional image to all Company personnel and to the public

Events

· Work closely with production agency, creative agency and Director of Marketing on the planning/execution of our annual Banquet and Midyear Management Event

· Manage and execute annual Holiday Party/Spirit Week Activities

· Oversee all community events as requests come in from the field, including all appropriate approvals, ad development and placement when applicable, and event scheduling

Oversee Tradeshow Coordination: Responsibilities would include: Manage scheduling for tradeshows to ensure the booth is available and shipping information is provided for return shipment; provide any certificates needed (such as on-site drawings for free services) when requested

Research available booth options for a new booth; develop creative concept for booth messaging

Ensure all collateral and giveaways are available for Service Center ordering

Customer Communication

· Coordinate communication for Service Center move notifications when required, which includes working with other departments to secure required customers lists and manage list verification

· Manage other required letters as they develop, such as new company acquisitions, etc.

· Develop quarterly newsletters specific to services offered

· Plan and develop Customer Communication, including holiday cards, statements and renewals

· Develop and execute relevant PSA material when required due to weather-related events or similar

GUIDELINES TO EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE

· Meet with the Director of Marketing regularly to discuss new or emerging Marketing opportunities and challenges. Provide solutions to challenges and exploit opportunities in a reasonable and affirmative manner.

· Meet with the Director of Marketing weekly to review the status of all current and projected activities to ensure that schedules are being adhered to and deadlines respected.

· Meet with Agency regularly to discuss PR opportunities and results.

· Develop and maintain an annual calendar that includes all planned communication activities for a given year.

· Maintain close and regular contact with Regional Managers, and Corporate Management with regard to marketing challenges and opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of communication experience
  • B.A. in communications, marketing or business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative skills and teamwork are required
  • This position is onsite at Massey’s Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, FL (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm)
