Job Title Marketing & Creative Specialist
Department Marketing
Reports To Vice President of Fund Development
Location Orlando, FL (on-site)
Summary
The Marketing & Creative Specialist plays a key role in advancing Lighthouse’s mission by creating compelling, accessible, and brand-aligned marketing content across digital and traditional channels. This role partners closely with the Marketing Manager and Vice President of Fund Development to execute marketing strategies that support revenue-generating and mission-advancing initiatives including: fundraising, brand awareness, events, and business development.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong design skills, excellent organization, and a passion for mission-driven work. This position offers meaningful ownership over social media, content creation, and creative execution while collaborating across departments to amplify Lighthouse’s impact.
Essential Job Functions
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Support development and execution of the annual social media marketing plan.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (graphics, videos, copy).
- Monitor messages and inquiries; route our respond as appropriate.
- Track engagement metrics and assist with performance reporting.
- Maintain and update website content under direction of Marketing Manager.
- Support email marketing campaigns, including creation and distribution using CRM.
Traditional Marketing & Communications
- Collaborate with leadership to translate services, impact, and differentiators into clear, compelling messaging.
- Support development and execution of the annual marketing calendar.
- Design, create and publish digital materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ensure consistent branding across all materials.
- Assist with creation of brochures, donor stewardship materials, newsletters and annual reports.
- Collaborate with other corporate teams on creative needs.
- Identify and support advertising and promotional opportunities.
Event and Fundraising Support
- Design and production of branded materials for events (i.e. programs, signage, presentations, videos, etc.) as directed.
- Provide on-site event support, including setup, coordination, and post-event activities.
- Support fundraising initiatives as assigned in coordination with the Marketing Manager and VP of Fund Development.
Business Development Support
- Assist with the development and maintenance of sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, proposals, and capability statements.
- Create and manage content that supports lead generation, nurturing, and conversion across digital channels.
- Coordinate marketing support for outbound prospecting efforts (email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, landing pages, etc.)
- Support proposal development and RFP/RFI responses with compelling messaging and visuals
- Research target industries, competitors, and market trends to inform positioning and outreach
Administrative & Miscellaneous
- Maintain, update, and organize the digital asset library (photos, videos, creative files).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, digital communications, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
- Portfolio demonstrating design and creative work.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
- Experience with B2B marketing priorities.
- Familiarity with digital accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and best practices.
- Experience with CRM and marketing platforms (Bloomerang, Sendgrid, etc.).

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a talent for building strong and productive relationships across the organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong creative writing and storytelling skills.
- Excellent editing and proofreading abilities with a strong grasp of brand voice and tone.

- Extremely detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Professional maturity and judgement.
Work Environment
- Office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Frequent interruptions; ability to multitask is essential.
- Regular, predictable attendance required.
- Available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Light sedentary office work. Frequently required to sit.
- Ability to travel between Orlando based locations and offsite events.
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands and arms.
- Ability to pass Florida Level II background check.
