JOB DESCRIPTION

The role involves aiding the Store Manager and the Manager In Training in hiring, training, and managing store staff to reach store and personal sales targets, regulate expenditures, and safeguard company assets.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks include

  • Setting and surpassing store and personal sales objectives
  • Aiding in the hire of superior employees as needed in-store
  • Assisting in the training and development of an effective sales team
  • Providing feedback, guidance, and accountability to all employees while adhering to company policies and practices
  • Ensuring that all company initiatives are accurately implemented to the company's standards
  • Identifying potential staff and aiding their growth within the company
  • Overseeing all aspects of daily store operations when the Store Manager and Manager In Training are absent
  • Ensuring Loss Prevention practices are maintained in accordance with company standards
  • Effectively communicating all store needs to the Store Manager and Manager in Training
  • Addressing and resolving customer issues effectively
  • Delivering a stellar, full-service experience to all customers
  • Completing bank deposits
  • Understanding and embodying the Journeys culture

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates need to have the following

  • Prior experience in retail management is preferred
  • 6-12 months of practical experience in retail sales
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Motivation to prosper in fast-paced retail environment
  • Readiness to learn
  • Completion of all required training programs or equivalent
  • Willingness to work 45 hours each week
  • Availability for night and weekend shifts
  • Physical ability to climb, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended durations
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
