Store Manager Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, train and manage a high performing auto service team
  • Maintain a positive work environment for all staff
  • Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to individual skill level
  • Manage all employees through coaching and career skill development
  • Ensure high teammate retention
  • Maintain compliance and quality standards with a focus on safety first
  • Combine your in-depth automotive shop management knowledge with your people skills to manage customer relationships and serve as the main liaison between technicians and customers

Customer Focus

  • Serving all automotive service needs of our customers with quality and safety as the priorities
  • Learn and promote the Honest1 way – “Only fix what is broken, do it right the first time, and give every customer a great experience”
  • Develop customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage a positive attitude and team atmosphere at all times
  • Act in a professional manner that suitably represents a quality organization - always project an attitude of honesty and integrity

Performance Management

  • Achieve service quality, performance goals and efficiencies
  • Implement and train the Honest1 system to achieve store performance goals and culture
  • Efficiently and effectively manage inventory and scheduling
  • Manage the store’s workflow in an effective and efficient manner
  • Problem solving to cost effectively resolve situations

Experience Requirements

  • At least five years experience in automotive repair as a store manager
  • Excellent teammate and customer communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage service writers and automotive technicians
  • Significant experience in KPI reporting

Average Physical Requirements of the Job

  • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
  • Lifting requirement is 20 to 50 lbs
