About the Role

The Director of Housekeeping ensures the Element experience remains clean, bright, and refreshingly consistent. You’ll oversee all daily housekeeping operations—including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry services—while fostering a mindful, collaborative, and service‑driven team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspire the housekeeping team to deliver Element’s fresh, modern standard of cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public spaces meet brand expectations of simplicity, balance, and quality.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance to support efficient, seamless operations.
  • Oversee inventory and maintain eco‑conscious supply practices aligned with Element brand values.
  • Direct laundry operations and uphold cleanliness, safety, and brand compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to meet budget goals and support overall hotel success.
  • Elevate the guest experience through proactive service and warm, attentive interactions.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction, detail, and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of laundry operations and quality-control processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a calm, friendly, solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and departmental efficiency.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping management experience within the hotel industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
