What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating adaptive reading sessions that build core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
• Creating individualized motivational strategies that resonate with young learners and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading
• Interpreting student performance metrics to iteratively improve instructional methods and generate evidence-based recommendations
• Partnering with engineering personnel to assess and refine AI-driven literacy platforms

Basic Requirements

Reading Teacher key responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree plus specialized certification in reading pedagogy (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or comparable credential)
• Minimum of 2 years delivering targeted reading interventions to small groups of early elementary learners
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate reading proficiency, organize instructional groups, and craft differentiated lessons independent of packaged curricula
• Comfortable using AI and adaptive learning platforms, with capacity to respond dynamically to student engagement patterns
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship requirements
• Able to work on-site at one of the following locations: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
