Head of Admissions, 2 Hour Learning - $200,000/year USD
CrossoverShare this job:
Some families believe schools should leave children "a little unhappy." Others relocate entirely in pursuit of something superior. This position is designed for the second group.
2 Hour Learning condenses a complete academic day into two hours through AI-driven mastery platforms, allowing the remaining time to be devoted to high-impact life skills. There are no traditional teachers, no filler assignments, no pretense that a 6-hour worksheet marathon constitutes meaningful instruction. Students at our campuses learn at 2.6x the national pace. This is not promotional language — it is reflected in MAP assessment data.
Your role is to help parents recognize this distinction. Not through glossy brochures or abstract educational philosophies, but with documented outcomes, individualized attention, and efficient admissions processes that convert curiosity into commitment. This position is not suited for someone who simply wants to reassure families. It requires someone capable of presenting a superior educational product — and identifying families equipped to benefit fully from it.
You will manage admissions for one campus — Scottsdale, San Francisco, or Dallas — with full ownership of your pipeline, tour scheduling, event execution, and data integrity. There is no support team and no colleagues to compensate for gaps in your process. You alone will define the experience from beginning to end. If that prospect feels overwhelming, this role is not appropriate. If it feels energizing, continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing
- Replying to prospective family inquiries within 4 hours — every response personalized, never templated.
- Leading school tours and events that demonstrate our model concretely: how we deliver 2x faster learning, the reasoning behind it, and which families thrive here.
- Overseeing the admissions funnel: application processing, shadow day coordination, decision conversations, and family onboarding.
- Maintaining precise, current data in HubSpot and the Student Information System to support weekly reporting and analysis.
- Revising FAQs, standard operating procedures, and admissions materials informed by ongoing feedback — and piloting new approaches to strengthen conversion rates.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Supervising staff — you are both the architect and the implementer of the process.
- Accommodating institutional red tape — this environment moves at startup velocity, not traditional school district tempo.
- Treating every applicant identically — your responsibility is strategic selection, not merely enrollment volume.
- Defending the model defensively — certain families will reject it. Your strength lies with those who understand it.
- Operating remotely — this is a campus-based position with occasional travel to local events.
