Arco Talent Group has been retained by a private equity–backed, multi‑asset operating platform with a large, national footprint.
Following a recent take‑private, the business is entering a period of accelerated operational discipline and acquisition‑led growth. The platform operates across a broad, distributed network and sits at the intersection of enterprise finance, capital deployment, and performance management.
Reporting to the CFO and CIO, the VP of Strategic Finance will serve as the connective tissue between operating performance, capital allocation, and transaction execution. This is a high-visibility seat designed for a finance leader who combines institutional modeling rigor with the operational instincts to drive results across a 400+ location platform.
What You’ll Do
FP&A & Enterprise Performance
- Own enterprise forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning across the full operating platform
- Build and maintain fully integrated operating models linking field performance to enterprise cash flow and leverage metrics
- Drive monthly performance analytics, variance analysis, and forward-looking scenario modeling
- Partner with operating leaders to translate financial targets into measurable, accountable performance frameworks
- Prepare investment committee materials, board reporting, and sponsor analyses in partnership with the CFO and CIO
M&A Support & Integration
- Lead financial underwriting and modeling for acquisitions, dispositions, and strategic investments
- Translate deal-level economics into enterprise forecasts, liquidity planning, and capital allocation pacing
- Model enterprise impacts of acquisitions on cash flow, leverage, and covenant compliance
- Support diligence workstreams and investment committee materials end-to-end
- Oversee post-acquisition performance tracking against underwriting assumptions, surfacing variances and corrective actions early
Team Building & Management
- Lead, manage, and develop a lean, high-performing Strategic Finance team
- Operate as a true player-coach — equally comfortable owning complex analytical work and elevating the team around you
- Establish scalable processes, modeling standards, and reporting infrastructure as the platform grows
- Create a high-accountability team culture aligned with the pace and standards of a sponsor-backed environment
Ideal Background
- 7–10 years of total professional experience
- Foundational training in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity strongly preferred
- Experience within a PE-backed portfolio company in Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, or FP&A
- Advanced financial modeling capability (three-statement models, LBO-style analysis, scenario and sensitivity modeling)
- Direct exposure to acquisition underwriting, transaction diligence, and investment committee materials
- Experience translating deal economics into operating forecasts and liquidity planning
- Prior experience managing small, high-performing analytical teams (player-coach profile)
- Comfortable operating in sponsor-driven, performance-accountable environments
- Multi-site or asset-intensive operating exposure preferred, but not required
