Job Description
Meets deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner. Provides support and assistance in developing and communicating actionable information at all levels of the organization. Focuses on process improvement strategies with special emphasis on financial outcomes in support of department and process initiatives. Provides coaching to co-workers appropriately and effectively. Coordinates projects as required in conjunction with the manager and staff. Maintains a project plan and anticipates potential roadblocks, taking corrective action to complete projects on time. Ensures all documentation is current for all areas of responsibility. Reviews and validates financial information, assumptions, and methodology based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts and healthcare principles. Communicates and presents effectively both internally and externally. Helps staff frame issues and apply analytical and critical thinking skills to problem resolution. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) [Required]
- Complete understanding of double entry accounting and an operational understanding of routine accounting functions [Required]
- Working knowledge of personal computer applications and spreadsheet analysis [Required]
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time [Required]
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with proven analytical and organizational abilities [Required]
- Computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel [Required]
- Ability to coordinate projects related to developing financial information for decision making [Required]
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities [Required]
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivots and Macros) [Required]
- Ability to deal with data that is of a sensitive and confidential nature [Required]
- Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail [Required]
- Able to take initiative to solve issues [Required]
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

- 3+ experience in healthcare finance/accounting, or a related field [Preferred]
