Restaurant Training Manager

The Restaurant Training Manager oversees all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house training programs, ensuring team members are properly onboarded, coached, and supported throughout their employment. This role partners closely with operations and HR to maintain training standards, support staffing needs, and uphold company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for new hires and existing staff
  • Lead onboarding sessions, orientation, and skills‑based training for all departments
  • Support managers with performance coaching, documentation, and follow‑up
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing needs, and coordination of new‑hire paperwork
  • Maintain training materials, checklists, and SOPs to ensure consistency across locations
  • Conduct in‑store audits to verify training compliance and service standards
  • Collaborate with HR on minor HR duties such as file maintenance, uniform tracking, and policy communication
  • Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews when needed
  • Ensure a positive, engaging learning environment for all team members

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant leadership or training experience
  • Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills
  • Ability to train across FOH and BOH roles
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes and basic HR practices
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
