Overview

In this role, you will implement and support project HSE plans to protect people and the environment. You will work within our Orlando team to deliver site-specific safety training and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll lead inspections, monitor contractor safety performance, and assist in incident investigations, shaping a safer project culture. You will mentor HSE coordinators and collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous safety improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and support project HSE plans and regulatory requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and deliver project-specific HSE training
  • Lead project HSE inspections and assess trade safety plans
  • Develop and evaluate emergency response, site security, and environmental plans
  • Monitor and audit trade contractor HSE performance
  • Participate in on-site investigations and corrective actions
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders; coach and mentor HSE staff
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Safety designation
  • 5 years' experience in a health and safety role in a related industry
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to adopt new technologies
