Overview

Orlando International Drive North Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, enhance guest satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of the property. Multilingual and bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse clientele and staff. The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in managing hotel functions, supervising staff, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing all hotel operations, including front desk, guest services, housekeeping, and food & beverage departments
  • Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service aligned with brand standards
  • Manage revenue and budgetary goals through effective revenue management strategies
  • Coordinate with human resources for staffing, training, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee guest relations to ensure high levels of satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
  • Supervise night audit procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Implement and monitor hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Support marketing initiatives to promote hotel amenities and services
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop operational plans that enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel management or resort settings
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel operations including front desk management, guest relations, human resources, budgeting, and revenue management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and team members
  • Experience with hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
  • Knowledge of night audit procedures is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Hospitality management certification or relevant degree is advantageous
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed in a dynamic environment
