Job Description
General Functions
Performs non-routine and complex tasks and provides services and support in multiple areas within the Family Services Department. Supervises and is responsible for the performance of staff members.
Work is performed with independent judgment and initiative under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observation, reports, meetings and results achieved.
Representative Duties/Assignments
- Supervises and manages a diverse team based on area of assignment which may include fiscal, contracts, compliance, licensure and facility/maintenance teams.
- Oversees personnel matters including hiring, discipline, training, development and performance appraisals.
- Prepares budgets and monitors/manages all financial related activities within assigned area of responsibility.
- Performs various revenue and expenditure projections and provides recommendations on or makes decisions based on the projections.
- Ensures compliance with licensure and contractual requirements. and prepares or oversees the preparation of grants and contract applications, monitoring/tracking of grants and all other areas of contract compliance.
- Prepares and presents program reports to relevant Advisory Boards and prepares quarterly and annual reports.
- Prepares items for the Board of County Commission agenda.
- Performs other related duties of a comparable level as assigned by the Director or their designee.
Minimum Qualifications
Youth & Family Services
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in financial management of a program section or business unit to include two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience. In lieu of the degree requirements additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Preferences
Prior supervisory experience.
Prior financial reporting or budgetary development experience.
Prior experience managing state or federal grants to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.

Pay Grade: 022 - From $42.27 to $48.61

Educational Requirements
