Electrical Engineering Group Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the Electrical Engineering Group within the BEI unit, guiding multi-discipline design efforts and serving as the client interface. You'll mentor and develop regional staff while sourcing new clients and ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables within budgets. You'll allocate resources, oversee technical work, and drive operational excellence across projects. This position offers impact through client growth, design leadership, and cross-department collaboration at a respected engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Act as client interface for project matters and engage directly with clients
• Lead and oversee electrical engineering design within a multi-discipline project team
• Coach, mentor, and develop the team; recruit new regional staff including managers and engineers
• Allocate resources and balance manpower to meet project timelines, quality, and budgets
• Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, permits, and project reports
• Develop proposals and present project briefs to clients
• Collaborate with other departments to support sales and service delivery
• Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and regulations
• Manage multiple projects concurrently

Key requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience
• PE certification or ability to gain via reciprocity
• Experience in building power, lighting, telecom, and fire alarm systems
