EL Warehouse Team Leader

Overview

Reports to Warehouse Supervisor

Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister’s and its members.

Works as part of the McCollister’s electronics warehouse to supervise the safe, productive, and efficient loading, unloading, and distributing of freight to meet customer and warehouse requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train freight handlers to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations.
  • Protect freight, equipment, and facilities.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight handling.
  • Verify that all required van equipment or special instructions have been met.
  • Strive to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Train warehousemen.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift.
  • Handle van equipment.
  • Asset scanning system.
  • Keep track of all inventory, ensure all products are received by customers in good condition.
  • Paperwork, load/unload documents.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Education

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • A minimum 2 years’ warehouse operations experience and be proficient at loading, unloading, receiving, and paperwork management
  • Forklift and bar coding experience is needed
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Positive communication skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Must be organized
  • Proven track record of working in a team environment and autonomously
