Construction Director, Design & Engineering | Theme Park

A leading theme park resort is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to join the team. This role is critical due to upcoming project demands. The ideal candidate will support the business strengthen internal delivery capabilities on high-profile, complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities of the Project Director include:

• Manage major multiple capital projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $5m to $75m
• Lead and mentor the Design & Engineering project managers
• Provide strategic planning and resource allocation for the department
• Partner with park and corporate leadership teams to drive the strategic planning, concept development, and design of major attractions across the Orlando parks
• Lead contract development and administration across assigned projects
• Coordinate with and communicate with general contractors, subcontractors, architects and design teams

Key requirements of the Project Director include

• Experience managing or supporting projects with contracts valued at $5m+
• Strong project management background in design, construction, engineering and capital projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Experience managing capital construction projects from concept through completion.

Experience with project scheduling software, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools preferred.
