Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Field Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident in leading full network installations, from structured cabling to configuring and deploying enterprise-grade hardware.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills, with the willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation of networking infrastructure, including low-voltage and structured cabling.
• Rack, stack, and configure full network systems (routers, backup appliances, servers, switches, etc.).
• Build out and bring online complete network racks.
• Install TVs and low-grade commercial audio systems as needed.
• Configure IP addresses and ensure all components are connected and functional on the network.
• Perform remote and on-site testing to validate system performance.
• Work independently and manage full system build-outs with minimal supervision.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and project progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and the technical team.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with networking infrastructure installation.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and structured cabling.
• Proven ability to rack, stack, and configure networking equipment.
• Experience setting up full racks including routers, switches, backup appliances, and servers.
• Knowledge of commercial AV installations (TVs, audio systems).
• Ability to work independently and complete projects end-to-end.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.93 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
