As Transportation Program Manager, you oversee a portfolio of transportation projects to meet safety, mobility, and sustainability goals. You lead cross-functional teams, align projects with agency objectives, and manage schedules, budgets, and risks. You will collaborate with DOTs, MPOs, and community stakeholders to drive program delivery and continuous improvement. - Define program objectives aligned with transportation system goals to support safety, mobility, sustainability, and performance
- Develop and manage the program roadmap with schedules, budgets, permitting timelines, and resource plans
- Lead the program team and ensure cohesive execution across projects
- Oversee integration of project plans, schedules, and budgets and resolve inter-project conflicts
- Manage program scope, changes, and impacts on funding and timelines
- Coordinate with finance for invoices, grant management, cost estimation, forecasting, and earned value management (EVM)
- Align cost control with program objectives and seek efficiency opportunities
- Establish and enforce quality standards and drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma
- Identify, assess, and monitor program risks with regular senior leadership updates
- Build and maintain relationships with DOTs, MPOs, municipalities, transit agencies, utilities, and community stakeholders
- Oversee resource allocation and resolve staffing constraints across projects
- Mentor project managers and drive training and development in transportation program delivery
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local transportation requirements (FHWA, FTA, NEPA, ADA, MUTCD) and report to senior leadership
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/architectural field (ABET/NAAB preferred) or related field
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of job-related experience
- Professional licensure strongly preferred (PE, RA, PLA, PLS)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Deltek Vision
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, time management, and client/vendor interaction skills
