Project Manager-Roadway Operations

Overview

In this role you lead roadway construction projects within HDR's Field Services team, ensuring designs are built to high standards. You will coordinate cross-team efforts with design and field staff, managing risk and ensuring conformance with Department standards. You'll mentor junior staff and drive issues to resolution, contributing to HDR's mission of safe, high-quality infrastructure. This position offers exposure to major Florida transportation programs and the chance to influence long-term workforce readiness. You will lead with integrity and make a tangible impact on communities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact and project lead for multiple construction projects
• Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members
• Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Review programs for conformance with Department standards
• Perform constructability and biddability reviews
• Mentor junior roles
• Provide risk management and issue resolution leadership
• Perform other duties as necessary

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 7 years related experience
• Minimum of 2 years project management experience
• Ability to interact with various design teams
• Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture
• PE License is highly desired
• Experience on FDOT or FL Turnpike projects is a strong plus
• Roadway/Tollway experience
