Reports to: Interim Executive Director

Salary: $60,000–70,000 + benefits

Purpose

Owns FRRC's external and brand communications, ensuring the organization's story, policy positions, and public presence remain consistent and current across cycles to funders, members, staff, Board and stakeholders.

Scope

Own external and brand communications: public statements, press, social, and the organizational narrative anchored on the Amendment 4 story

Produce funder-facing and member-facing communications in coordination with development and organizing

Maintain message discipline and compliance with nonpartisan communications requirements

Support rapid-response messaging on policy and legal developments

Steward brand standards across the organization

Note: External and brand communications (press, social, funder- and member-facing materials) are owned by the Communications Manager. Program-facing operational copy (volunteer scripts, member texts, event invites) is owned by the Field Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

4+ years of communications experience, ideally in advocacy, nonprofit, or political settings

Strong writer and editor across formats

Comfortable with rapid-response and compliance-sensitive environments

Mission alignment; directly impacted or civic engagement experience valued
