Floor Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, management, and customer service skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff to achieve store goals.

In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the candidate must have hands-on knowledge and experience in floor care services, including floor cleaning, grout cleaning, LVT and VCT floor maintenance, and carpet cleaning. A strong understanding of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Visit job sites daily to monitor performance, inspect quality of work, and ensure services are completed correctly
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training and development programs
• Oversee employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes
• Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly address service issues or concerns
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing activities
• Inspect company trucks regularly to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition
• Ensure all equipment is properly used, maintained, stored, and reported if damaged or in need of repair
• Verify that all cleaning chemicals are properly labeled, approved for use, and matched with current Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Ensure compliance with chemical handling, storage, and safety regulations, including employee training on proper chemical usage
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations

Requirements

• Proven supervisory experience in commercial cleaning or floor care operations
• Hands-on experience operating truckmount systems for carpet cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, and other floor services
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including tile & grout, carpet, VCT, and LVT cleaning and maintenance
• Ability to inspect job sites daily, ensure quality control, and verify work is completed correctly
• Experience leading, training, and supervising cleaning technicians in the field
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, equipment operation, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Ability to ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of truckmounts, portable equipment, and tools
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple job sites and schedules
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred or required
• Ability to handle client concerns professionally and represent the company on job sites
• Familiarity with vehicle inspections, ensuring trucks are clean, stocked, and in proper working condition
• Understanding of safety regulations, PPE usage, and best practices in commercial cleaning
