Responsibilities

  • Optimize production quality, timelines, and costs using data-driven strategies
  • Assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals
  • Develop and implement approaches to consistently meet or exceed delivery commitments
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering excellence and continuous improvement
  • Oversee workforce management including manpower planning, training, hiring, development, and performance evaluations
  • Align production efforts with program goals and company objectives
  • Perform corrective action planning
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and work onsite

Key requirements

  • BS in Engineering or related degree
  • US Citizen
  • 10+ years in management within complex electro-optical DoD production
  • Expert knowledge of high-volume electro-optical manufacturing including assembly, test, supply chain, MRP/IMS scheduling
  • Expert knowledge of Earned Value Management and budget monitoring
  • Experience with DFAR-compliant manufacturing labor and material proposals
  • BOM/configuration management and change control expertise
  • Experience leading multifunctional teams
  • Budget tracking and cost estimation experience
  • DoD aerospace manufacturing and Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
  • AS9100 knowledge
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency
  • Master's degree (desired)
