Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of cloud software engineers with coaching and growth opportunities
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture with accountability for outcomes
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing to strengthen capability
  • Learn and improve Go-based healthcare platforms and design/implement cloud services
  • Develop high-volume, low-latency services for a global platform
  • Collaborate on API integration with partner systems and data sharing
  • Work with Information Security to design secure solutions
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and uptime while upholding engineering quality
  • Contribute to architectural and operational decisions with Architecture and Platform leadership
  • Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability and investments in quality, security, observability, and debt reduction
  • Lead technical planning, design reviews, and engineering best practices across the Cloud Platform Practice
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and advise on innovations that support business objectives
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts including FDA requirements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience or 6+ years with a Master's degree
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to coach engineers
  • Experience supporting engineers across multiple product teams or matrixed structures
  • Strong software engineering background with cloud-based or distributed systems
  • Ability to coach problem-solving and mentoring across senior engineering levels
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging and backend processing
  • Experience with scalable, highly available architectures
  • Ability to translate business goals into engineering priorities
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
