Job Title: Production Supervisor

Schedule Options

  • 2nd Shift: 11am–8pm or 12pm–9pm
  • 3rd Shift: 8pm–5am

Workdays: Monday–Friday + 2 Saturdays per month

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills to guide production teams, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise production staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to promote accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and allocate labor and equipment resources to support production needs.
  • Maintain a positive, productive work environment.

Production Process & Quality Control

  • Monitor production processes for efficiency and quality standards.
  • Enforce quality control measures throughout production.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, materials, and finished goods.
  • Address production issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce all workplace safety practices.
  • Conduct or coordinate safety training sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA guidelines, GMP standards, and company policies.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, completing required documentation.

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain accurate production records including attendance, performance, and productivity.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production results, challenges, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Participate in planning meetings to align production goals with company objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of production or manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or food production preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow GMP standards (hairnets, uniforms, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and use of hands for handling materials.
  • Occasional reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
